Burrows here!
First, I must confess Ryan was, at the least, being modest about the speedo pictures. In actuality, it was Ryan & I standing on the rock mass in our new choice of swimwear. Turns out Steve lent the 70’s apparel to us upon hearing his brothers were in need. Once in our getup, Dan & John brought us to the rock by boat, took our picture & brought us back to shore.
Service is going quite well in our new territory; its amazing how effective you can be in your sleep. As you saw from the service report Chris turned in for me, I have been very regular.
As was mentioned earlier we left our beach house early and headed to Dubrovnik. We entered into the old city walls and were conned into eating more seafood (which most of us have now sworn off for a while.) After lunch we walked around for a while and quickly realized we were in a medieval Disney. All the buildings are made of solid stone with cobblestone walkways. While walking through the city we saw a guy that resembled Don King. In fact, it was Don--the boxing promoter with the loud mouth and crazy white hair. The only fights in town seemed to be between three pigeons fighting over an apple. Don was surrounded by five men in suits but was gladly taking pictures with the tourists. He kept yelling welcome to Dubrovnik.
We finally left for Cavtat and commandeered a dock with some chairs making up for some of our lost beach days. After lying in the sun we found a sandwich café that served cocktails--which brings me to the RETURN TO THE CAPTAIN. Finally Captain Morgan made an appearance, in haste Ryan and I ordered.
On a side note Dan is out of Metamucil. That’s all for now; see you in Italy.

Nice to hear from James! Now each of you in the traveling band of merry men has entertained us. What grand tales of Dubrovnik, 70s bathing suits (thanks Steve!), Don King, seafood and travel. Onward to Italy. Mangi la pasta e beva il vino rosso e prenda le fotografie in Italia!

Dad, yes you found pictures of where we are! Its raining cats and dogs though.

Alissa, James will give the speedo back at the end of the summer. He has big plans for it.

Jackie, nice article. You are gonna make the front page soon enough. THanks for the link...

Intersting how I've been failing to make my links work on the blog. The last time I made my name the link to the campground! Close but no ceegar. Think sun.

If you follow the link to Jackie's article in the Reminder, you may have trouble reading the small print. I learned that if you then click on any of the 4 photos or on the text in the article, it will blow it up to a good size. You can then print, save or even e-mail it. Nice article, Jackie.
PS The article did not appear in the Tolland edition, but it is in the Stafford edition.
